Prayer of surrender of life to Jesus Christ

For if you confess with your mouth

that Jesus is Lord,

and believe in your heart

that God raised him from the dead,

you will be saved.

(Matthew 10:32; 2 Corinthians 4:5; Phil. 2:11)

Pray this personal prayer of surrender out loud:

Dear Lord Jesus,

I am coming to you now.

I no longer want to be a slave to sin and I separate myself

from all works of darkness.

I therefore lay down my "old man" there - in faith in your victory on the cross.

Please, forgive me for my sins.

Thank you for washing me clean of all sins with your blood.

I also want to forgive those who have sinned against me and do not count their sins,

because you have forgiven me.

Please help me with this.

Create in me a new heart and give me a new spirit and be Lord of my life.

  Lead me through your spirit into all truth and write my name in the book of life.     Glorify yourself in my life.
